Small World Vacations agent, Sydney Scott, recently shared a special 50^th birthday celebration with her friend Andy at Walt Disney World. Andy has been a Disney fan since his first visit to Walt Disney World as a child. His fondest childhood memory of Walt Disney World was riding the monorail through the Contemporary Resort. A custom cake with enhanced decorations, like the special monorail cake for Andy, was ordered directly through the Contemporary Resort . Since she wanted it delivered to her villa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Sydney called the cake line and was given the email address for the pastry chef at the Contemporary Resort, . She emailed the pastry chef and explained exactly how she wanted her specialty cake to look. They returned her email very quickly and went over the details of the cake design and pricing. A month later, a beautiful masterpiece arrived right on time, and she was even able to charge it to her room!

Andy was very surprised, and Sydney was equally surprised on how beautiful the cake was designed. It was exactly how she had envisioned it. A new memory for Andy, reminiscent of a fond memory of his childhood visit to Walt Disney World. It was the “Icing on the Cake” for a wonderful 50^th birthday celebration!

Since Walt Disney World loves to celebrate, they have wonderful cakes you can order for any special occasion. Most full-service restaurants at Walt Disney World® Resort have super-market style 6” cakes (serves 5) on hand, and they can be ordered at the podium when you check in for your reservation. If you would like a larger cake, you can order an 8” or 10” regular round cake or a Mickey Mouse-shaped custom cake.
