Say Aloha to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa!

What happens when you sprinkle some Disney pixie dust on a tropical island paradise? Be prepared for the ultimate vacation escape, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa! Located in Ko Olina, on the island of O’ahu, this is a magical destination where your cares melt away with the gentle sea breezes of the Pacific. It’s an oasis where you can put down your phone, slow down and take a vacation.

Disney Imagineers worked closely with local artisans and cultural experts to create Aulani. It was a priority for Disney to create a resort that celebrated the rich traditions and welcoming spirit of the island. In Hawaiian tradition, there are three life elements of utmost importance: family, storytelling, and magic. With Aulani, Disney combined these elements in an authentic way that embraces the native community and continues to tell the story of Hawaii. Here, Ohana truly means family.

Enter the open-air lobby at Aulani and you’re greeted with fresh floral leis to start your Hawaiian adventure. The stunning design and sweeping views from the floor to ceiling windows of the A-frame structure let you know that you are in a special place. At the entrance is a loi kalo (taro terrace) symbolizing the important cultural and spiritual ties of the people to the land and each other. It is here that guests are welcomed into this ohana to begin their own stories.

Imagineers incorporated this idea into the design of the architecture and landscape of the 21 oceanfront acres. From the building structures, to room decor, pool design and menu offerings, Aulani consistently honors the Hawaiian culture with art, design, flavors, sights and smells. With over 50 pieces of art showcased throughout the resort, Aulani boosts one of the largest collections of contemporary Hawaiian art in the islands.

There are two towers on either side of lobby that extend out toward the ocean, creating a U-shape that cradles the breathtaking landscaping, pool and beach. The Ewa tower is home to the Disney Vacation Club villas, and the Waianae Tower includes standard rooms and suites. Recognizing that the Hawaiian theory of living with the “aina” or land, is a critical part of island life.

There are a total of 351 total rooms and 481 Disney Vacation Club Villas at Aulani Resort. At 382 square feet, the Standard Rooms accommodate up to 4 guests and have 2 queen beds or 1 king bed and 1 queen sleeper sofa.
