Agent Karen Sails from New York City to Quebec City

On September 20th of this year, I excitedly boarded the Disney Magic in New York City for her inaugural voyage to Quebec City, QC.
Sailing out of New York City was amazing – the skyline, Freedom Tower, the Verrazano Bridge and the Statue of Liberty made for an absolutely beautiful sunset sail.
This was my very first Halloween on the High Seas cruise as well so I was doubly excited!
There were some beautiful changes on the Disney Magic including the new Rapunzel’s Royal Table (the original Parrot Cay).  This restaurant has been renovated to such an extent that you feel you are right in the celebration in the Kingdom of Corona with Rapunzel, Flynn and the thugs!
The music, characters and restaurant design all come together to create a magical dinner for all ages.

The ports we visited on this cruise were stunning!  In Halifax, I experienced the most photographed lighthouse in the world (Peggy’s Cove lighthouse) as well as paying respects to some of the victims of the Titanic disaster.
I sailed a Fjord in Saguenay, Quebec and learned all about the historic Paper Mill in Baie-Comeau, Quebec on an entertaining Historical Walking Tour.  Since this was the 1st time the Disney Magic had ever docked here, we even had our own Paparazzi following us around trying to video us for their news stations!

It was a rainy morning in Quebec City when we arrived however that didn’t take anything away from the beauty of Old Town.
The Disney Magic and the entire town was entertained by a wonderful fireworks show that evening.  It truly was an amazing moment being welcomed by such a warm, caring town – it seemed like everyone came out to celebrate with us!

I do hope Disney sails this itinerary again in the future!  It was nice seeing the quaint Canadian towns and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this itinerary again.  I was afraid I would miss Castaway Cay however honestly, it didn’t even cross my mind with all the other new and interesting places I can now say I’ve been to!
