Culinary Adventures with the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan by Agent, Michelle
Did you know there are over 200 dining locations at Walt Disney World? As a Disney Resort hotel guest, you have access to one of Disney’s unique dining plan options. On a recent visit, we selected the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan and went on a spectacular culinary adventure around the Walt Disney World Resort with signature dining, character experiences, and dining packages! For those not already familiar with this plan, it included three table service dining credits plus 2 snack credits per guest, per night along with a refillable resort mug. Each lunch and dinner also included an appetizer and dessert along with the main entrée and beverage. Getting hungry yet?
It does take some time out of your day to dine at the different locations, plus tons of food, but the dining plan provides an all-inclusive feel, opportunity to sample new culinary delights, and special experiences sprinkled with pixie dust! Our goal this time: maximize dining credits with new experiences and culinary adventures! First, we booked our advanced dining reservations at Signature Dining locations. Recommend booking reservations well in advance as some locations do book quickly. California Grill, Cinderella’s Royal Table and Tiffins were a few favorites!
California Grill dinner with Magic Kingdom fireworks viewing! Try the goat cheese ravioli and the vegan donut for dessert. Delicious, beautiful, and a magical experience with music and fireworks from the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort to end the evening.
Feast like royalty at Cinderella’s Royal Table inside Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom. Another signature location, this time with royalty visiting each table!
Tiffins, inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, was an unexpected culinary adventure. The dining room has amazing artwork on display. Look for the castles hidden in the artwork behind the desk upon arriving. Did you know they designate each Disney park around the world? The food here was some of the best and most unique!
Next, we decided to maximize credits for character dining! Storybook Dining at Artist Point immerses guests into the forest from the atmosphere, character interactions with Snow White and friends, and every detail of the food presentation! What a fantastic ending to a Magic Kingdom day, hopping over to Wilderness Lodge for this culinary experience!
Our new favorite character breakfast was at Topolino’s in Disney’s Riviera Resort. Characters and experiences are special here with Mickey as a painter, Minnie as a poet, Daisy as a dancer and Donald as a sculptor. The dining room is beautiful, and actually reminded us of our Disney Cruise Line experiences. The food here is delicious, especially those assorted pastries at the table! Plus, enjoy a ride on the Disney Skyliner to Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios after breakfast!
And our last Disney Deluxe Dining experience to maximize those credits were dining packages! Some options include reserved seating areas for nighttime shows or VIP parade viewing. The parade dining package at Magic Kingdom was spectacular and only one table service dining credit! A totally different parade experience with VIP viewing on Main Street included along with a fabulous meal at Tony’s Town Square.
If you’re looking to sample some new locations, meet your favorite characters, or maybe just experience a little VIP treatment, consider adding the Deluxe Dining Plan to your vacation package. Enjoy your culinary adventure around Walt Disney World!
