Europe Cruises – Passports, Visas & Citizenship Documentation

 

The following guidelines are based on government regulations, which are subject to change at any time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all the proper documentation to board the ship and enter each of the countries on your cruise itinerary.

Travelers can visit the U.S. State Department’s website for more information. All documents must be valid for the entire length of the voyage, unless otherwise noted. Guests without proper documentation will be denied boarding. When dropping off luggage upon arrival, please keep all documents in your possession to present during check-in at the terminal.

All Nationalities (Including Children)
  • Original valid passport (valid at least 6 months after the sailing has ended)
Cruises that Visit St. Petersburg, Russia

All Guests who purchase St. Petersburg Port Adventures or tours organized through Disney Cruise Line (including Adventures by Disney Cruise Packages) will not require a visa. However, without a Russian Tourist Visa, visitation is limited to the period of the excursion and Guests will not be permitted to leave the ship other than during the tour hours.

Guests must present the following items to a Russian Immigration officer when departing the ship:

  • Original valid passport
  • A Disney Cruise Line tour ticket
  • One photocopy of the passport page showing the Guest’s picture and personal information

All Guests who wish to sightsee independently or outside of the Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure hours MUST obtain an individual Russian Tourist Visa before leaving home. It is each Guest’s responsibility to identify and obtain all the necessary visas before the start of the cruise. Guests who have not purchased a Port Adventure or tour organized through Disney Cruise Line (including Adventures by Disney Cruise Packages) and do not possess a valid Russian Tourist Visa will not be permitted ashore in St. Petersburg.

Citizens of All Other Countries (Including Children)
Round-Trip Cruises from/to Barcelona, Copenhagen and Civitavecchia and One-Way Cruises from Barcelona to Civitavecchia, Civitavecchia to Barcelona
  • Original valid Passport

These cruises call at ports in Europe and/or Russia, and based on your nationality, you may be required to obtain multiple-entry visas for Europe (Schengen Visa). It is each Guest’s responsibility to identify and obtain all the necessary visas.

Round-Trip Cruises from/to Dover and One-Way Cruises from Barcelona to Dover, Copenhagen to Dover, Dover to Copenhagen
  • Original valid Passport

These cruises call at ports in Europe, the United Kingdom and/or Russia, and based on your nationality, you may be required to obtain multiple-entry visas for Europe (Schengen Visa) and also the United Kingdom. It is each Guest’s responsibility to identify and obtain all the necessary visas.

British Isles Cruises from Dover
  • Original valid Passport

This cruise calls at ports in Ireland and the United Kingdom, and based on your nationality, you may be required to obtain a multiple-entry visa for Ireland, and/or the United Kingdom. It is each Guest’s responsibility to identify and obtain all the necessary visas.

 

 

REAL ID

Beginning May 3, 2023, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will require every resident of a U.S. state or territory who is 18 years of age and older to present a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification (such as a passport or enhanced driver’s license) to go through airport security and board a flight within the United States. If you or a member of your family will be flying to a cruise homeport within the United States on or after May 3, 2023, please ensure you have an acceptable document for your air travel. REAL IDs are marked by a star on the top of the card. For more information, please visit the Transportation Security Administration. Please keep in mind that all Guests must still have Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative-compliant travel documents (proof of citizenship and/or appropriate visas) in order to cruise.
