Full Guide to the Muppets-Themed Brew-Wing Lab at 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

Are your taste buds ready for some flavor experiments? Come with us to visit Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey! This booth is all the buzz of this year’s Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and it’s not hard to see why.

NEW Muppets Themed Food Lab

This booth is special. First, it’s indoors (located in the Odyssey Pavilion near Test Track), while most festival booths are outdoors. Second, it’s much more than just a food stop. The theming, treats, and overall experience are taken to the next level!

Brew-Wing isn’t a new booth, but this year it has a whole new twist: the booth has been transformed into a Muppets-themed “Food Lab.” The entire Odyssey Pavilion is covered in adorable Muppets-themed graphics related to food science. The inside of the Pavilion is even more intricately decorated.  The theming is fun and sure to impress kids and adults alike.

A highlight: Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker appear on screens throughout the Muppets Lab to taste-test some pretty crazy culinary creations – the very same ones available at the Brew-Wing booth, so you can try them, too!

This short show is super fun, and it runs continuously throughout the day. We think it’s worth visiting the booth just to see the decorations and the show… but of course… we can’t forget the FOOD!

The Pickle Milkshake

That brings us to the real buzz of this booth – and the entire festival… the infamous Pickle Milkshake!!!

This brand-new offering at Brew-Wing Lab debuted for the very first time this year, and it’s definitely the most divisive menu item at the entire festival!

Whether you love it or hate it, you won’t want to miss your chance to try this unique treat. While we’ve heard mixed reviews, the general consensus is that this drink is NOT as bad as you’d think: the sweetness really cuts through, and the taste is more “dill” than pickle.

TIP: This drink is a must-try, but we’ll admit that it’s pretty rich, surprisingly sweet, and not necessarily going to be everyone’s favorite. We suggest getting one Pickle Milkshake to share with your party so everyone can take a taste and you can get your souvenir cup.

If your palette isn’t quite ready for the Pickle Milkshake, we recommend you try the “Frozen Fusion” drink instead. This non-alcoholic drink is Twinings Pomegranate and Raspberry Herbal Tea fused with orange ice cream molecules. It’s super photographable, too, and also comes in a souvenir beaker cup.

Our team thought this one tasted much more like a sweet, fruity drink similar to more of the classic fruity concoctions that your kids (or you) are hoping to try. The Frozen Fusion is definitely a safer bet for less adventurous eaters, and it’s sure to please anyone who likes a sweet, fruity drink.

Brew-Wing Lab also has a great selection of beers and hard ciders (hence the “brew” in the name) for adults hoping to sample an alcoholic beverage while checking out the Muppets Labs.

The Food at Brew-Wing Lab

Even though the space, theming, and ~pickles~ are stealing the show here, we can’t forget to mention the food at Brew-Wing Lab. That’s where the booth gets its name, after all.

There are five varieties of chicken wings you can try here. If you’re craving a classic buffalo, the option here is sure to cure your craving!

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings were a returning favorite for us. They have a bold peanut butter flavor with a hint of sweetness from the jelly that really hits the spot. We loved this unique take on a classic flavor combo.

The Garlic-Parmesan Wings are a deliciously savory crowd pleaser, while the Orange-Cardamom wings are new this year and present a unique flavor to try.

The Unnecessarily Spicy, Yet Extremely Tasty Scotch Bonnet Pepper-Curry Wings with cool cucumber yogurt is another adventurous menu item new to this year’s festival.

BEWARE: When they say spicy, they MEAN spicy. The yogurt does help cool things down though, and the flavors worked perfectly together. Proceed with caution, but for anyone who loves a lot of heat, this is a great option as Disney food is traditionally less on the spicy side.

Looking for a plant-based option or just something other than classic chicken wings? Brew-Wing Lab also offers plant-based Buffalo Brussels Sprouts with plant-based blue cheese and plant-based ranch and (new this year) a sampling of IMPOSSIBLE Buffalo Chicken Tenders with plant-based blue cheese, plant-based ranch, and celery.

Final Review

Overall, Brew-Wing Lab is a HIT this year. The theming is incredibly immersive, the food is yummy, and the Pickle Milkshake has sparked intrigue and controversy all across the Disney community.

We definitely recommend a stop here on your visit to Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival!

Lines may get long during peak meal times, but they move quickly, and the ample seating in the Odyssey Pavilion makes this one of the few options to get some AC, entertainment, and a show around the food & Wine Festival.

  • BONUS TIP: If you have little ones (or adults!) who want to watch the fireworks but don’t love loud noises, we found that the Odyssey Pavilion had a great view of EPCOT Forever.
  • Around 8:30 PM, we grabbed some wings and fun mocktails from Brew-Wing Lab, then found a seat and enjoyed our meal white watching the Muppets show.
  • Then we were already in place at 9 PM to out the day with a great, lower-key view of the fireworks. We’ll definitely be back to this hidden-gem viewing location!
