UPDATE from Disney March 16, 2022

Health & Safety Update for Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions

Proof of full vaccination continues to be required for all Guests traveling on an Adventures by Disney or National Geographic Expeditions trip. Proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result will no longer be accepted as an alternative.

Additionally, face coverings are now optional for Guests when traveling to CDC Level 1-3 countries with Adventures by Disney or National Geographic Expeditions. Physical distancing at indoor or outdoor venues will not be required unless stated by the venue or local regulations.

Please see the SeaMail below being sent to Guests and Travel Agents regarding vaccines:

All of us at Adventures by Disney hope you and your family are staying well. We want to let you know some important information about your upcoming trip to Alaska, scheduled to begin on 7/4/2022. At this time, we plan to operate this trip with no itinerary changes.

All activities are scheduled to take place as planned. Your Adventure Guide will keep you up to date on any changes to the information or itinerary activities while on your trip.

As we welcome Guests back to traveling with Adventures by Disney, we know you have questions, particularly around health and safety and what protocols and procedures are being implemented to promote the well-being of our Guests. We are resuming trips with multiple layers of health and safety measures developed in consideration of guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other health experts. These measures include COVID-19 vaccination, face coverings, and physical distancing. You can read more about our health and safety protocols here

Below are the most important things you need to be aware of as you prepare for your next Adventures by Disney vacation.

DESTINATION REQUIREMENTS

All Guests should understand and follow all airline and destination requirements related to travel, including vaccination, testing, and quarantine requirements. Guests who do not follow a destination’s requirements may be denied entry. Additional information can be found by visiting https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list.

This information applies to Guests/travelers traveling from the US. Guests/travelers coming from other countries should check with their embassy/consulate for the latest travel requirements.

FACE COVERINGS AND PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Face coverings are optional unless required by the venue or local regulations. We strongly recommend Guests wear face coverings while on shared transportation. Physical distancing will not be required during indoor or outdoor activities unless required by the venue or local regulations.

Vaccination and COVID Testing Requirements

Adventures by Disney requires all Guests to be fully vaccinated for travel.

All guests must provide proof of being fully vaccinated before joining any trip. Proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result will not be accepted as an alternative.

In consideration of guidance from the CDC, and the World Health Organization (WHO), Adventures by Disney accepts the following vaccine types: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Novavax, Sinopharm BBIBP-CorV (VeroCell), Sinovac-CoronaVac, and Covavaxin (Bharat Biotech).

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines fully vaccinated as 14 days after receiving:

· A single dose of an accepted 1-dose vaccine
· The second dose of an accepted 2-dose vaccine
· The full series of an active (not placebo) COVID-19 vaccine in the US-based AstraZeneca or Novavax COVID-19 vaccine trials
· The second dose of any “mix and match” combination of accepted COVID-19 vaccines (administered at least 17 days apart)

NOTEAdventures by Disney strongly recommends that Guests who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster shot do so in preparation for their travel. Destinations and their local laws may have different requirements and definitions of what constitutes full vaccination. This may include a booster dose, as well as additional wait time after the full series of vaccine doses. Guests who have not received a booster dose may be prevented from traveling to certain destinations. For international trips, local laws will apply, so it is important that you confirm you will be fully vaccinated according to the countries on your trip.

All Guests must submit proof of vaccination to The Anvil Group up to 24 hours prior to the start of the trip. Anvil is Adventure by Disney‘s third-party partner for verifying proof of COVID-19 vaccination. More information about this process will be provided via email, 5 days prior to departure.
