Walt Disney World Family Magic Tour by Small World Vacations’ Agents Lisa and Steph

During a recent trip to Walt Disney World, we decided to book the Family Magic Tour – a guided scavenger hunt throughout the Magic Kingdom. While it is geared toward families with children between the ages of 4 and 10, we adults really loved it!

We met up with our wonderfully animated guide, Jordan, at the Town Square Theater inside the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.  After a brief introduction and a bit of instruction, we were led outside where we had to play a bean bag toss game to get our first clue.

From there we embarked on a magical 2- hour adventure throughout Fantasyland (and beyond), solving clues which led us to items that the dastardly Captain Hook had stolen from the Magic Kingdom the night before (little did he know that Tink had seen the whole thing!).

During our walks from one clue to the next, Jordan shared some of his wonderful Disney knowledge,  and we even played a charades-type skipping game, which got the attention of quite a few of the guests visiting the Magic Kingdom that day!

In true Disney form, there were surprises along the way that I will not spoil by mentioning them here.  Let it suffice to say that if you are looking for something a bit different for your family to do while visiting the Magic Kingdom, we think this is exactly it.  At a modest price of $39, per guest, we felt it was worth every penny.  Be sure to ask about any available discounts (Disney Visa, DVC, AP), as they are offered from time to time.
