Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World in Florida is the world-renown “hub” of Disney fun. Four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom) provide more attractions, experiences, shows, dining and fun that you can imagine! Our agents have visited Walt Disney World over 3500 times. Here are just a few special memories from their visits:
Agent Steph:
“My favorite magical moment was when my granddaughter (3 at the time) went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I had given her an Elsa dress and when she put it on in the dressing room at the Boutique and looked in the “magical” mirror, her face absolutely lit up, and she just stared at herself in amazement, as the song “I See the Light” from Tangled played. I literally cannot hear that song without tearing up!”
Agent Kathy:
“Most favorite family memories have come from the moments I didn’t plan. When my kids were young (2, 5 and 7), I took them over to the playground to let them burn off some energy. Suddenly the side door of the building next to us opened, and out came Peter Pan and Wendy to PLAY on the playground. They played follow the leader and Ring Around the Rosie, and Peter taught them how to pretend sword fight, and then, Captain Hook barreled out of the same door. With Peter and Wendy’s help, they defeated the villain. Peter and Wendy ran off and were gone. All of the adults looked around in disbelief, “Did that just really happen, did my kids just play with Peter and Wendy?” They sure did! This was a moment of Disney Magic that we just happened to stumble upon. To this day, my kids (now adults) remember playing with Peter and Wendy, and I remember to leave room for the Magic to unfold.”

Disney Cruise
Disney Cruise Line itineraries take you to Alaska, Canada, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. “This summer my family sailed to Iceland on the Disney Dream. We stood with one foot on the tectonic plate of North America and the other on the European tectonic plate, saw some amazing waterfalls and geysers, soaked in a hot spring, stopped at Santa’s House and rode horseback through scenery right out of a movie. As parents, we are grateful for the opportunity to share the world with them in a way we can all enjoy. Sailing with Disney has helped them to grow in independence and provided a world view no classroom could ever provide.”

“A few years ago, my husband and I cruised with 9 other couples. We had all vacationed together with our children over the years and had, what felt like suddenly, become empty nesters! We had such a special time together that we will all cherish. We were able to reflect on the memories of cruising with our young children and also make our own new memories traveling with just adults.”
Disneyland
Disneyland is the place where it all began. When you combine pixie dust with Southern California sunshine, it’s makes for the perfect vacation. The two theme parks, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, are walking distance to each other, so it’s easy to experience all the attractions and shows. “I had the opportunity to be in Disneyland for the Disney 100 kickoff weekend along with my Disney-loving husband and a few Small World Vacations agent friends. Disneyland is extra magical to me as its the original park that started it all. Walt designed it himself and walked down Main Street! We got to be one of the first guests on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway on the day it opened to the public in Toontown. We saw magical new fireworks and World of Color shows (of course they both made me cry)! We laughed until our insides hurt as we swung on the Pixar Pal Around, what we deem the most thrilling ride in the park. I love sharing the Magic with my family, friends and fellow Small World Agents, and in turn gaining valuable experience and knowledge to share with the guests I help every day!”

“Recently my daughter and I took a girls trip to Disneyland to celebrate her 18th birthday and upcoming high school graduation. We got to experience the Haunted Mansion with the Nightmare Before Christmas (her favorite movie) overlay for the first time – and then 10 more times throughout the weekend! As we were exiting the park on our last night, reminiscing about the amazing last 3 days, snow started to fall on Main Street and I swear that time stood still while we took in that moment together. Just as I can remember walking her to kindergarten on her first day of school, the snow swirling around us that night will be a memory and feeling I’ll never forget!”

“My recent Disneyland and Southern California Adventures by Disney trip was on my bucket list. To say this trip exceeded my expectations only touches a small amount of the magical things I saw and did. It was a surreal moment to be standing in Walt’s apartment and look out the same window that Walt Disney did as he gazed down on Main Street as guests head to make their own family memories. There were so many moments during this adventure that I felt I could close my eyes and hear Walt Disney’s voice as he spoke with his Imagineers about his ideas for the future. One of the many highlights was being surprised at Carolwood Foundation with Floyd Norman, one of Disney’s first African American animators. To hear his stories of Walt Disney made me realize that there will come a time where we will no longer have people who can speak first hand of Walt Disney. This adventure, for me, gave me a stronger connection to Walt Disney’s own history and showed me even more of why I have such a strong love for Disney.”

“It was dark and cold. My daughter and I were huddled close together under a dusty blanket on a safari in South Africa. Our tracker stopped the jeep and hushed us to be quiet. We heard the low rumbling before we saw her. Nala stepped across the headlights, barely glancing at us as she tracked her prey. It was scary. It was thrilling. It was amazing, a moment we will NEVER forget.

I have been lucky to visit this resort with my family a few times and each time we visit we create special memories that will be part of our family forever. Before my youngest son was born, my husband and I visited Walt Disney World and purchased him his own ‘Duffy Bear’ from Epcot. As soon as he was old enough, Duffy never left his side. On one of our visits to Aulani we celebrated our son’s 8th birthday and I will never forget the pure joy on his face when he got to final meet Duffy in person. Aulani is the only place in the U.S. where Duffy Bear visits and it is so special to watch little one’s faces light up when they get to meet Mickey’s special friend!”
